GOVERNOR’S KAUA`I ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO MEET ON JANUARY 8TH

HONOLULU – The Governor’s Kaua`i Advisory Committee will meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2004, in room 2A & 2B of the Mo`ikeha Bldg., 4444 Rice St., Lihu`e. 

The January meeting will look at non-budget priorities for the upcoming legislative session, initiatives recommended by the CARE (Citizens Achieving Reform in Education) Committee and the Civil Air Patrol.

Governor Linda Lingle created advisory committees to give the neighbor islands a stronger voice in state government.  The Kaua`i Advisory Committee holds monthly public meetings to seek community input and advise the Governor of important issues, budget priorities, and recommendations for state boards and commissions.

The members of the Governor’s Kaua`i Advisory Committee are James Anakalea, Linda Collins, Laura Cushnie, Kelly Banks Hoen, Vilamor Galiza, Jerry Ornellas, Barbara Smith, Matt Takata, and Leo Trinidad.
