Increasing Partnerships

Attorney General Co-Hosts Youth Conference

The Department of the Attorney General co-hosted the "Get the 411 on Youth" conference this week at the Hawai`i Convention Center. The conference brought together leaders to share information about issues that affect youth and strategies to prevent young people from engaging in risky behavior.

Hawai`i Troops Partner
with Iraqi Soldiers

Soldiers from the 25th Infantry Division's 52nd Infantry Regiment, attached to 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, "Strykehorse," are conducting joint patrols with their Iraqi Army counterparts as the IA continues to assume responsibility for security in Taji, Iraq.

Department of Health Receives $1.5M Grant

As part of the Lingle-Aiona Administration's initiative to maximize federal partnerships, the Department of Health was awarded a $1.5 million grant from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for youth suicide prevention and early intervention projects.
