Congratulations, Brigadier General Osserman
As Commander-in-Chief of the Hawai`i National Guard, Governor Lingle presided over a pinning ceremony at the Hawai`i State Capitol to promote Col. Stanley J. Osserman Jr., to the rank of brigadier general.
Governor Lingle congratulates Brigadier General Osserman and his wife, Betty, after the pinning the rank of brigadier general to his uniform.
The Governor shared her appreciation for Brigadier General Osserman's leadership and 30 years of service to the people and State of Hawai`i.
"General Osserman belongs to a group of citizen airmen who have made important contributions to our state, nation and world," Governor Lingle said as she shared examples of the Hawai`i Air National Guard's service throughout the Pacific region.
Brigadier General Osserman has served as the assistant adjutant general – air for Headquarters, Hawai`i Air National Guard since September 7, 2008. In that role, he assists Major General Robert Lee, State Adjutant General, with the equipping, training and readiness of the Hawai`i Air National Guard.
