Honoring the "Greatest Generation"
Hawai`i and the nation paused to remember the 67th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor this week.

This year's commemorative ceremony honored the heroic service of those who fought to turn the tide in the Pacific.
"The attack on Pearl Harbor changed our understanding and way of life," said Lt. Governor Aiona. "And 67 years later, we continue to gather with great conviction to honor those 2,408 brave men and women who lost their lives."
The ceremony was attended by more than 2,000 distinguished guests and service members as well as Pearl Harbor survivors and their families and included a floral tribute aboard the USS Arizona Memorial.
